BA ILLUSTRATION INSTAGRAM 'TAKE OVER'

For the final weeks of my Illustration course I volunteered to run the 'Instagram Take Over' of the Illustration account (@aubillustration) to showcase everybody's final work, as has been done a couple of years in a row now. I used the illustrated assets and fonts that were already created to go onto leaflets, websites, window stickers, and created matching visuals to use for Instagram posts. My aim was to make this year's 'take over' far more interactive and fun than previous years by not only adding images of students' work but by adding mini interviews and photos of the artist if they wished to submit them. I also showed lots of behind-the-scenes footage of us setting up the studios ready to showcase our work, of the day we ran a fundraiser and of the show itself through stories and reels.

I made templates out of my final designs to make it easy to insert the information of 60+ students. I gathered all the information into an Excel sheet with the help of a small team of fellow students how contacted everyone and gathered their responses.

Here is an example of the posts I created and posted using my own submissions.

Story and main feed posts I made informing followers of the showcase.

A reel I edited and posted showcasing the fundraiser we did. (Music unavailable outside of Instagram).
