AUB ZINE SOCIETY BRANDING
In 2021 I joined AUB's student-run society, AUB Zine Society. I took on the role of Social Media Officer and managed the society's Instagram and Facebook page, keeping it up to date with information on our weekly meetings, posting photos of our new zines and documenting any events or behind-the-scenes using the Stories and Reels features. I enjoyed the role immensely as it challenged me to re-create and keep up the society's 'branding' with my own designs, photos and edited videos as well as help me to gain more confidence with being part of a team that managed and lead events.
I began the academic year off by freshening up the society's visuals and giving it more of a brand. With the help of the committee I decided on a colour scheme and graphics to go alongside the pre-existing round black-and-white logo. From this I designed a poster for Freshers' Week, a zine introducing the society to anyone who picked one up at the fair, and a template to use when making posts for social media.

Throughout the year I managed to keep the Instagram active and updated. I made sure to make announcement posts for each week's sessions and any additional events, and to then break those up with photo-based posts that I would take during the sessions. I also shot and edited videos of events such as markets that the society tabled at. I really enjoyed using my photography and videography skills to help students and followers connect with the society.
